Ten years ago, being a software engineer looked very different.

A typical day meant writing code line by line, searching through documentation, debugging issues manually, and solving one challenge after another. Every new technology brought new possibilities, but the role of an engineer remained the same at its core: solving problems.

Today, software engineering looks different than it did just a few years ago. Artificial Intelligence has become part of the everyday engineering workflow, influencing how developers build, experiment, and solve problems.

It helps developers prototype faster, review code more efficiently, explore new ideas, and automate repetitive tasks. But perhaps the biggest change isn't the technology itself; it's how engineers think, learn, and collaborate.

Every major shift in software engineering has challenged developers to adapt. From new programming languages and frameworks to cloud computing and DevOps, every evolution has expanded what's possible. AI is simply the next step in that journey.

Since its foundation, Simply Technologies has believed that great engineering is built on curiosity, continuous learning, and sharing knowledge. Technology evolves quickly, but strong engineering communities grow by learning together.

That's why, over the past two years, we've been creating opportunities for developers to connect. Through community meetups like the Vision Pro Meetups and the GenAI Meetup, engineers came together to explore new technologies, exchange practical experiences, and discuss where our industry is heading.

Those events taught us something important.

Developers are eager to explore new technologies,

but they are looking for more than just introductions

or high-level discussions. They want practical

conversations, real experiences, and insights from

people who are already experimenting, building,

and solving challenges with these technologies.

These conversations showed us the value of creating

larger spaces where the community could come

together, exchange knowledge, and explore the

future of software engineering.

Rather than organizing another traditional tech event,
we wanted to create a place where AI could be
discussed through the lens of real engineering.
More experience. Less theory. More practical insights.

On June 13, 2026, nearly 200 developers, engineers and technology enthusiasts came together for a full day dedicated to the future of software engineering. Throughout ten technical sessions, speakers shared practical experiences, challenges, lessons learned, and the ways AI is already reshaping everyday engineering.

As one of Armenia's first large-scale events dedicated to practical AI in software engineering, AI Code Summit marked an important milestone, not only for Simply, but for the growing AI engineering community.

The next chapter of software engineering is already being written. New tools will continue to appear, and the way engineers work will continue to evolve.

What remains important is the mindset behind this evolution: staying curious, learning from each other, and sharing knowledge along the way.

Simply Technologies will continue creating spaces where these conversations can happen from small meetups to larger community initiatives like AI Code Summit.
